Mission Camp

Meghan left for camp at 8am today.  She is going to a mission camp with our church through the Lifeway camp MFuge.  She was excited about going but I think also had some mixed feelings about being away.  It is good for her to do this type of thing.  I am happy she is going for the experience to help others and to learn more about her relationship with God.  I look forward to the pictures and stories she will bring home. 

Family Reunion

We are having a family reunion at my parents house this Fourth of July.  It is going to be a lot of fun with a lot of family coming in to visit together.  We will be having horse back riding, go-carting, swimming, boat rides, games, and just plain sitting around talking and visiting.  What FUN!!  Pictures to come soon! 

Bunco is a GO!!

I'm so excited.  I am going to get together with some friends once a month to play Bunco.  I have been hearing about my sister-in-law playing this game for a couple of years now.  She and 11 of her friends get together monthly.  It seems like they always had fun, and to be honest I have been envious.  :) (Yes, She knows.....I have told her.)   I do not get together with a group at all anymore on a regular basis (I am still a member of the Mom's club but haven't been to any activities in a while.),  so I thought it would be fun to start something.  I realized sitting around complaining about not getting out wasn't getting me anywhere.  I needed to make it happen.  I thought a Bunco night woud be  light hearted enough that it wouldn't be hard to get some players. My Mom said she would like to play too and ask a few of her friends. So we have worked on it and have gotten confirmations from 12 (including my Mom and I) ladies to start playing this month.  I am looking forward to it.  I haven't ever played Bunco, but do have the game, so I plan to start studying and getting my thoughts together to play our first night next Tuesday.  I look forward to it. It should be a fun night with the girls. :)  We all need some of that in our lives.

Favorite day of the year?  I don't have just one favorite day.  I think any of my kids birthdays are special days. 

What do you do to vent anger? I get loud (no I am not proud of that and I do try to work on it). I also huff a lot to release my frustration. 

What was your favorite toy as a child? I guess I would say my baby dolls or Barbie dolls.

Grayson, Our little "girl", oh I mean BOY!!

Grayson has needed a hair cut for a while now . I haven't wanted to take him to get it cut for fear they would cut to much.  I have trimmed his hair myself on occasion and this last time I really didn't do to well because he wouldn't sit very still.  Meghan and her friends decided they would fix Grayson's hair in pig tails.  I have to admit he looked precious as a girl.  :)  He will KILL me someday.  I told Meghan when she is thirty years old and he is sixteen and ready to date she can bring these pictures out as blackmail.  :)  He will love us for that! 

 

 

Birthday Celebration

My niece Ally has a birthday on Dec. 3rd.  Laura had us get together on Friday to celebrate her special day because we won't be able to do it next weekend.  Laura was so sweet and added my name to the cake since my birthday is also Sunday, Nov. 30th.  It was another nice day spent together.  Happy Birthday Ally!!  I hope you have a nice day on Wednesday.

Thanksgiving 2008

Tim's family (less his brother and family) celebrated Thanksgiving at my parents house this year.  It was nice to only have one meal to attend this year.  We were able to visit with everyone longer and enjoy our day more.  It was a nice day with a lot of family time and wonderful food.  We have so much to be thankful for and it was a perfect day to be reminded of all of our blessings.

Thanksgiving Feast at Wee School

Today we had the annual Thanksgiving feast at Carson's Wee School.  Nanny even got to come with us.

Carson had been playing Indiana Jones with Zachary tonight.  We could not get him to take the costume off before bed.  He fell asleep still dress as Indiana Jones.  I had to get a pictures before we took the costume off.
